Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts athlete competing for UFC. UFC at the flyweight division,, is a Kyrgyzstani. Valentina is her younger sister and a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started in the form of a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home an additional medal in the year 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008 and a gold in 2011, and then was named the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous awards, such as the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko broke her professional MMA records in 2002, when she faced Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round by TKO and then won the next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled the record of 3-1. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on the sport of kickboxing. She returned against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa by unanimous decision after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the fight. Following this victory Antonina was given an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious with a unanimous decision. She lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to beat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko won her first three fights but then lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has recently been knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
