Aisha Hinds is an American actress best famous for her role in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003 she has demonstrated her range in acting providing outstanding performances on television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. She was first noticed in 2005 when she played her role as Anna, as seen on Assault on Precinct 13 However, it was her performance of the feminist Fannie Louis Hamer from the documentary film All the Way, which gave her the respect she deserved as an actress. That same year, she was appointed as the first Indian actor on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan was in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance adaptation from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan brought both her star-power and beauty to her first major English film. Following the release of Provoked the a True Story in English, she went back to Bollywood and appeared in the big-budget Dhoom: 2 (2007). In April 2007 she married Abhishek Bachchan, a regular co-star as well as the son of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that reunited two of India's most powerful actors.
